Solitair Helicopters has been fighting fires in Australia since 2002. In 2009 we purchased a Helitak bellytank to compliment our new Eurocopter AS350 B3+ with dual hydraulics.

The Helitak Helitank 1200 carries 1200ltrs of water with foam and multi-drop capabilities, built in strobe lights and siren and an onboard display to minimise pilot work load. The hover pump fills the tank up in 30 second from any water source accessible by the helicopter.

Our AS350 B3+ paired with the Helitak Helitank 1200 had a 100% serviceability record in the 2009 Queensland fire season.
